LJ HOLMES PRESENTS: THE PENDULUM SWINGS

Coming awake in a strange room,

her body atop a thin slab made from strange material encased is some form of linen, her wrist bound,

not to the railing attached to the sleeping pallet, but to some weird looking piping had her eyes popping.

Where was she? She tried to pierce through the sluggishness encasing her mind for answers that did not want to surface, when

the door opened.

Oh by the stars...the man entering is the stuff of dreams...or at least he was until his blue eyes turned cruel.

Her HUSBAND? And she is

JOANNA? No, no, no. It could NOT be true. She was NO Joanna, and why would this man claim to be her husband but hate her so much?

This begins the journey of our heroine in THE PENDULUM SWINGS.

She knows she CANNOT be the vile Joanna this HUSBAND, Jason Reed, claims her to be...but who is she and why can't she remember?

Amnesia? She has this amnesia? She has no idea what that might be, but if it gives her the time to avoid the rage pouring from this beautiful, but disgusted man, then so be it.

Shortly after he leaves,

a pinpoint of memory light begins to spread inside her vast emptiness. The blankness fills with the images of horror she could not accept. She should be dead? Was this, this room the afterlife? And was that angry man

Ra's greeter? NO...he claimed to be her husband, but she had no husband...not in the life she only JUST left.

She is Siri

...Egyptian slave of Petronius,

Centurion Captain. She is Siri, just thrust into death by

Titus, Petronius' General. She is Siri mother of Cerean and Petrina...

Dear Isis, what has happened to her?

Amnesia, the word offered her a haven while she tried to figure out why she was thrust into this hated woman and how to get back to the man she loves.

The Pendulum Swings,

a sweeping tale of

ancient Rome and

modern privilege is being released by the Muse It Hot side of Muse Publishing, Inc. on March 1st.

See how Siri

handles 21st Century America in the body of a reviled bitch while trying to unravel the mystery of why she's here. Follow Siri as she tries to undo the damage the owner of this body caused not just with this blue eyed husband, but the entire Moore-Reed household.

How long will this husband be able to go on treating her with enmity when she introduces belly-dancing, comfortable schentis

to one and all? And will she be able to compete with the

amorous fireplace that shows Jason how to do a mean shimmy?

THE PENDULUM SWINGS...humor...history...and maybe even love?

The PENDULUM SWINGS by L.J. Holmes...okay, I'll come clean...that's me!

Ahhh thanks everyone.

Kat I get to read yours first two...and Sweetie, I am so proud of your voice. Nonnie is too. I can just see her, sitting up there looking down upon us and beaming. She really was a gifted storyteller.

Muse It Up Publishing, you provide me with such a caring and generous home for my meager ramblings. I cannot begin to tell you how thrilled I was to take the fifth position for my category at P&E.

Viviane...I LOVE doing them. It's another way my inner Nudge gets to express us.

This is a fun story and I enjoyed incorporating my off-beat sense of humor in it. Because the next one Twiight Comes, is dark and has none.

NJ...thanks. Your soming over and reading my blogs means a lot.

Sara, you KNOW I am going to bug you to let me do one for you when you have your cover don't you?

I have been told I should start a cover blog business. No thanks. I love doing them and giving them to the writers. It's my small way to express how happy I am to be a part of this incredible world of my heroes...authors.
