This month Muse Publishing, Inc., has been conducting chats about erotica vs. porn.
I have not chimed in, so now seemed like the right time. Here goes.
What is the difference between erotica and porn...There is passion in the book I've read by Glenn Kleier entitled THE LAST DAY. The human condition must have passion for it to have a purpose. When does the passion cross the line and become porn?
For me when it is about nothing BUT the sexual mechanics. When it has no elements of respect and consideration.
Now I've chimed in...I have and will write intense erotica, but at no time are the participant mere entities being plugged into the right current.
If all that matters to you is the current, then go turn on a
space heater or
a fan.

Here again! I agree there is a big difference between erotica and porn. One has a style and finesse the other is simply hard core sex. Most porn just turns me off. It's so crass. On the other hand good erotica could be better than foreplay for a woman.LOL
