LJ HOLMES PRESENTS: CHAMPAGNE AFTERNOON

On a frigging DARE!

I'm a busy adult, at least I am over the age society considers an adult...so how did I end up here, bubbling like Champagne,

in the very last place a respectable woman is supposed to be hanging her...okay I can't say

hat, because I haven't got a hat...and truth be told, I haven't, thanks to that damned dare, got much else either?

I'm honest, to a fault, and the image reflecting from the

mirrored walls makes me want to cringe. There was a time when I looked like

dynamite in a skimpy pair of

hot pants and bikini top.

It's true gravity

is NOT a woman's best friend, nor are the accumulation of

birthdates.

When I was a kid we whispered, quite cruelly, I now regret to say, about the length of Mrs. Kahler's tooth after she'd mounted that hill...

you know the one that says we're over the hill when we hit it.

Yep, that one...thirty.

I slid over that hill, trying not to advertise the fact ages ago. Well,

years IS an age isn't it?

Sadly, I remember the day I slipped into my first granny dress, went to school...college...after my divorce...braless...and

nobody noticed. What a wakeup call. Gravity had definitely arrived.

So how come I let myself be talked into this?

Oh, sorry, I haven't explained what THIS is, have I?

I maded the mistake of signing up for my psychology course with a prof who also teaches

Human Sexuality. Trust me on this...if you're an

over the hill woman, NEVER take a psych course from a professor who also teaches

Human Sexuality.

Before you know it, you'll find yourself here, on a dare, with gravity impossible to conceal.

Heaven help me,

if I make it through this, I'm transferring to another school.

Champagne Afternoon is being released on November 11, 2011 from the

Muse It Hot Side of

Muse It Up Publishing, Inc. and I can tell you, you do not want to miss this. Can our intrepid heroine survive the dare? Or will the

champagne bubbles make her want to swirl down the drain and disappear forever where it is drained champagne goes?

For more information, click on my AUTHORS PAGE on the Muse It Hot Website and the Muse Bookstore's very own BUY PAGE for Champagne Afternoon.

And what would you do when challenged with such a dare?

Champagne Afternoon, brilliantly stunning cover is by Muse It Up Publishing's

Queen Cover Goddess, Delilah K. Stephans.

And one more thing, please head on over to the Bookstore, to check out LAVENDER DREAMS, Muse's first anthology collaboration dedicated to the research and treatment of cancer, One Dollar At a Time.

Thanks. Now I must join my character in burying my

red-stained face. Oh the dilemmas we authors put our heroines through!

Lin, sweetie, that sounds hysterical! And just like one of those improbable things that is more than likely to actually happen. And probably has. To somebody or other! And yet again, will you and Kat rest this week, please? Love!

You are quite simply amazing! What can I say to the likes of you, Lin Holmes? This is hysterical. How do you find the time to put all this stuff together and write tons too?
(hmm, I think you must use magic...)

Champagne Afternoon sounds very cool to me.

Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your loving words. They mean more to me than you know.

Kaye, finding myself at Muse has doen wonders to allow my Nudge to express all her pent of words on assorted topics. She's having a ball, and we're both grateful for all of you. Kat says I'm weird...I guess it's a good thing to be weird.

Love To You All.
