LJ HOLMES PRESENTS THE LIGHTHOUSE

Sunday, July 11, 2010

Hello. My name is Rachel Westmont, and I am the lucky lady on the cover of this exquisite MUSE IT HOT PUBLISHING cover created by the Muse It Cover Goddess Delilah K. Stephans. When Delilah sent her first mock up of this cover to Kat Holmes, my creator and benefactor, I was dumbstruck and wondered if I'd ever met Delilah before. She captured me right down to my favorite dress. How could she have known? You'd think I'd have noticed if my closet had been riffled. See there was the break-in shortly after I arrived on Star Island, this beautiful island off the Maine Coast. I had the hunky Sheriff Craig Lewis with me, and he checked every nook and cranny for signs of robbery, or malicious mischief. No one had entered my closet, yet Delilah knew my favorite dress! I think the woman's psychic between you and me. I mean seriously have you SEEN the covers she makes? Works of art every single one of them.

I should give you some history about me...in case you were wondering.

I came to Star Island after ending my horrible marriage...scroll down and meet my ex-husband.

This is Dr. Stan Frederick, my plastic surgeon ex-husband who has about as much compassion and humanity in him as the quack he is. What can I say, this picture shows him exactly as he is...a cold, sadist with a saw in one hand and a hammer in the other.
I married the slime ball when I was vulnerable right after the long, drawn-out death of my mother. Little did I know all the sleazeball wanted was for me to put him through medical school by working round the clock.
Soon as he graduated, guess what he did? Yep, told me he wanted a divorce. I was too much like a "cow" for an up and coming California plastic surgeon.

Meet my replacement...

This is Tina...one of my ex's most graphic creations. I had to get away from California, my ex and his new wife if I wanted to maintain some of my sanity.
There is serendipity in the world, and it came to me when my aunt, Kelly Westmont accidentally fell to her death and willed me her home. See Kelly was the Lighthouse keeper on Star Island.

Isn't it beautiful? The break in didn't rob me of my appreciation of my new home. How could it? Look at it. Who wouldn't want to live here? Okay it means I have to be awake all night to make sure the beacon never goes out, and it also means I'm responsible for seeing to it I always have a supply of the hugely expensive replacement bulbs, but hey...look at that view!

Course there is one drawback...

...meet Aunt Kelly. Seems she's decided to hang around and haunt me. Don't misunderstand I am really, really grateful to my aunt for my new home, but it's kinda creepy having a ghost wafting about.

Now I am going to have to find out why she's haunting and hopefully send her to "The Light." Maybe I can get that hunky Sheriff to help me. Think he'll see me as a cow too?

And you can help me piece it all together on January 1, 2011 when my story, The Lighthouse is released.

In the meantime you might want to get to know my mentor. She's one busy as a bee author I can tell you. You can reach her at her WEBSITE and on her BLOG as well as at MUSE IT HOT BLOG and MUSE IT HOT PUBLISHING website.

But Lin wants me to remind you to stop back tomorrow for the next in her daily series; A COVER A DAY KEEPS THE SKEPTICS AWAY.
Thanks for stopping by and Lin also wants me to add the Muse It Up Motto that was created by Litsa Kameteros who partnered with Lea Schizas co-created MUSE IT UP AND MUSE IT HOT PUBLISHING:

~Building A Team To Achieve The Dream~
Thanks for the Great Motto Litsa Kamateros, Muse It Up Publishing Marketing Director.

Forgive me for taking so long to respond to your comments N.J. and Larion. I kind of slept through most of yesterday...those pain killers are potent little devils. I just read over what I wrote in response to Roseanne and MuseItUp...I think I was a bit scrambled. I usually am creative with my verbiage, thanks to the dyslexia, but nothing like what I wrote here.

LJ HOL,MES PRESENTS A TASTE OF TERROR

The guardians are among us. Their mission? To protect all living beings, mortal and immortal.

Cole Douglas is a guardian charged with hunting down rogues and destroying them. His job is dangerous, but the need for the Guardians is unparalleled.

While on the trail of a vicious rogue, Cole is attacked by a female werewolf.

Her scent is intoxicating and awakens parts of Cole he has no desire to acknowledge. How could this attacking beast be his life mate? The very idea is absurd, and one he chooses to ignore. He has no time for diversions, no matter how provocative they might be.

Turning away from the lure of this bewitching were, Cole continues his search for the merciless rogue he chases.

Little does he know, though, the very were he disregards as his life mate, holds the key to finding...

...the rogue he's been sent to kill.

For Chloe Dunn, Cole's life mate and the were who attacked him so recently...

...was turned by the killer he hunts.

As the publisher of course I know and read the book. :) But if I were a member reading this for the first time I think you hit it on the nail with the promo and build up. Lin, your continued enthusiasm to build a story from covers alone amazes me. It's like you've got a sixth sense. Bravo, dear girl.

Thank you both. I am grateful for the words of praise.

LJ HOLMES PRESENTS THE OAK KING'S DAUGHTER

Today, Muse It Hot Publishing, is bringing all of us the SEVENTEENTH cover in their gallery of amazing artistic and fictional mastery, and will take us into the lands of Celtic mystery and majesty.

They are the kings...Oak and Holly. Oak rules the summer and Holly, he rules the winter. Two opposites who control the seeds of rebirth and rejuvenation between them in a delicate balance.

Dairmuid is the Oak King...

...and he's the father of the beautiful, but strong willed Dara....and her world is about to be rocked to its very core.

His name is Tinne, the new Oak Court mage, and it's as he walks into Dara's line of vision, as if he walks with the rays of the sun infusing his beauty with a power she cannot deny, that the world shifts. His exquisiteness calls out to Dara...

...and then he sits down at the Royal harp and begins to sing.

Dairmuid feels the electric energy sparking between his daughter and the mage. This cannot be allowed. He orders Dara to stay far from the seductive Tinne; she has responsibilities to him and the Oak Kingdom that no mere mage can help her fulfill.

As much as Dara might want to obey her father, the lure of Tinne is too strong for her to resist. There is only one solution.

Dara agrees to run away with her enchanting Tinne. Choosing the fastest horse in the Oak Kingdom, Tinne, who has his own agenda that Dara does not suspect, races away from the Oak Kingdom...

...heading for the speedy ship he has waiting to carry them far from Dara's Oak World.

What is Tinne really up to?

And could it have anything to do with The Holly King?

The Oak King's Daughter by Emily Pikkasso and due for a January 1, 2011 release from the erotic side of the Muse It Publishing House.

Lin, I love it! Thank you so much. Your first picture of Tinne is priceless. Wouldn't you run away with that man? I would! The imagery is beautiful, I am humbled by your originality. Thanks so much. Dara says she approves as well. Dairmuid is grumbling in his oak tree about errant daughters and untrustworthy mages. Love Emily, Nancy and Dara

Forgot to say, I also love the picture of Dairmuid. You must have caught him on a good day. It reminds me that he has a story to tell as well. I must get to work on that. Emily Dara wants to know how anything about her tree bound father could be remotely interesting. She might be surprised!
